Oral reconstructions

Sometimes, after many years, your teeth may need reconstructing in order to withstand another few decades.
This need can have various causes such as delayed treatment, the presence of older restorations with fractures, discolourisation, missing teeth or the presence of (aesthetically) unacceptible teeth. We take the time to understand your expectations and wishes. We also look at the possibilities together and discuss the advantages and disadvantages. In this way we can advise you a treatment option that best suits in your situation.

In the firs animation, you can see extensive reconstruction work, where the gum has receded as a result of chronical infection and smoking. There are some teeth missing in the lower jaw as well. After the Brite-Smile treatment, the full reconstruction consisted of the following: the placement of three implants with crowns in the lower jaw, the crowning of some of the front an back teeth, and the replacement of amalgam fillings with white composite fillings.
This type of reconstruction doesn’t necessarily have to take a long time. In this case, all the treatment took three weeks from start to finish.
After the treatment, a periodical dental hygiene treatment should be important to keep the gums in a good condition.

In the second animation we see a lady with two small incisors never being materud. With a brace, her canines were moved to the place where the fangs actually belong. The shape, position and color of these teeth were adjusted by placing 6 porcelain facings after a Brite-Smile treatment. A natural looking smile is the result, so now she dares to laugh again.
